Unique, Sponsor-based Community Project

One-of-kind Project Showcases Hunter Communications' Creative Passion

Project:
Metro Orange Line Commemorative Poster & Fun Map

Client:
Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority

Description:
2' x 3' "fun" poster designed to commemorate the historic opening of the Metro Orange Line across the San Fernando Valley in October 2005. At left, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky are presented the first two posters by Economic Alliance Chairman David Fleming on opening day.

Hunter Communications was part of the Metro Orange Line marketing taskforce charged with the responsibility of building community awareness of the $330 million dedicated busway from North Hollywood to Woodland Hills. The firm championed the Orange Line map project, obtained sponsors and managed all aspects of its creative development, printing and distribution.
Managing the Creative Process
Hunter Communications managed the detailed content development every step of the way -- evolving from simple sketches to the full-blown 2'x3' map over the course of four months.
Opening Day
Poster sponsors gave away over 15,000 posters on the Metro Orange Line's opening weekend.  Pictured left is the Washington Mutual booth at the North Hollywood station. Washington Mutual bank branches became distribution points for the poster following the Orange Line's debut.
